Speech Language Pathologist Job Opening in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - We have an exciting opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. We currently have a full-time position we are seeking to fill with an energetic and professional SLP that wants to work with a growing company. Evaluates the patient's (re)habilitation needs, establishes treatment plans and goals, and periodically reassesses the patient's response to the treatment plan. Assess and treat a patient population, through physician referral, that includes pediatrics through geriatrics. The majority of the patients have hearing impairments, but not all.

Responsibilities:
Communicates and interacts positively with other team members to optimize patient care. Team members may include audiologists and licensed medical care providers.
Selects appropriate evaluation procedures/tools and utilizes them accurately.
Selects or devises appropriate treatment methods for patient. Administers modalities and treatment techniques accurately, effectively and safely.
Establishes attainable, functional goals, specific to each patient from assessment results and in conjunction and coordination with the patient and family?s personal goals, as well as the plan of the referring physician.
Assesses patient's response to treatment routinely and adjusts treatment plan appropriately.
Recognizes own strengths and weaknesses.
Demonstrates self-initiative in identifying methods for improving delivery of patient care and departmental functioning.
Implements improvements independently as appropriate.
Demonstrates the ability to respond positively to changing circumstances to maximize the opportunity, or to minimize the problem. Always acts decisively and takes effective action.
Ability to interact well with patients, family, public, physician, and other staff regardless of age, color, creed, race, or diagnosis.
Ability to communicate effectively and positively with patients, families, and other health personnel.
Must understand patient and family dynamics on a motivational and analytical level. Demonstrates the willingness to work with a variety of patients Ability to interact effectively with patients from a variety of ethnic, sociological, and cultural backgrounds, and from different age groups.
Ability to concentrate on and process complex tasks and information, and formulate appropriate plan of action. Ability to assess and comprehend a variety of patient disabilities through auditory, visual, tactile and verbal modes, and to be able to select appropriate tests, treatments and teaching strategies. Must assimilate information from various sources, analyze the information and form the patient treatment plan.
