Senior Accountant Job Opening in Denver, Colorado - A small but sophisticated management company located in the Denver Tech Center is hiring a Senior Accountant to handle a myriad of responsibilities. The office is comprised of five personnel who handle legal and financial matters for approximately 12 companies. This individual will work closely with other staff in the office.
The accountant may not perform all these tasks; his/her exact duties will depend on the needs and processes of the separate companies.
Process Accounts Payable and related vendor functions including 1099's at year end
Cash management
General ledger tasks including journal entries, accruals, fixed assets and account reconciliations
Prepare internal financial statements, analysis of budget variances and footnotes
Budgeting
Year end reporting and coordination with external tax accountants
Assist with other projects as requested
These skills and traits have been found to contribute to the individual?s effectiveness on the job.
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
Five years accounting or finance experience
Intermediate to Advanced use of MS Office packages, including Word and Excel
Strong ability to communicate in writing and speaking, as well as good organizational skills
Detailed oriented with excellent ability to analyze data and circumstances
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines
Good at working independently, thinking critically and proffering quality ideas to improve organization?s processes
This position requires 40-45 hours per week. Benefits include health and dental insurance, paid vacation, holidays and sick time.
