Summary: We are seeking a highly capable and outgoing Accounting Assistant to classify, records and verify numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records
Job responsibilities
Compile and sort documents such as invoices and checks to substantiate business transactions.
Scan documents into V2 system for record retention as required.
Verify and posts details of business transactions such as funds received and disbursed, and also total accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.
Audit invoices against purchase orders, research any discrepancies and approves invoices for payment.
Investigate problems that either vendors or purchasing agents have to facilitate payment for bills.
Compute and record charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals and other similar items.
Prepare vouchers, invoices, receiving ?post? reports, account statements, and other records, and reviews them for accuracy.
Reconcile report discrepancies and problems.
Review, balance and interpret computer reports and makes necessary corrections.
Assist employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures or services.
Verifies that all posted receiving reports and vouchers are accurate to ensure prompt payment of all open invoices.
Presents a positive image of Krayden, Inc. by maintaining procedures required to professionally answer the telephone.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Perform duties to AS/ISO and applicable Accounting procedures and regulations.
Position Requirements:
¨ High School Degree or equivalent
¨ 1-2 years bookkeeping / accounting experience
¨ ERP and Microsoft Office systems knowledge and proficiency
¨ Strong math, computer & analytical skills
¨ Team player with positive professional image & attitude
¨ Numeric Pad & Reconciliation procedure familiarity
¨ Ability to organize work efficiently.
