Tax Accountant Job Opening in Denver, Colorado - TAX ACCOUNTANT
Position Description
Karsten Advisors seeks a tax accountant to provide tax preparation, accounting and bookkeeping services for our Cherry Creek Colorado office. The primary purpose of the tax accountant is to ensure all tax and accounting functions are completed efficiently and accurately.
Duties Include but are not limited to:
Provide expert advice on tax matters
Prepare business returns and complex individual returns.
Respond to various governmental notices and audits.
Prepare business and individual tax extensions.
Verification of timely e-filing or paper filing.
Preparation of tax plans using estimates and projections.
Payroll processing including necessary governmental reporting obligations.
Bookkeeping for business clients as needed.
Requirements
Licensed Colorado CPA
2+ years? experience working in public accounting firm
Experience in preparation of individual, Corporate, Partnership, Trust and Exempt Organization Returns
Experience in preparation of 1099?s, W-2, sales tax and payroll tax returns
Familiarity of Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Lacerte Tax Software and Research software such as CCH, RIA or BNA online.

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff and clients
Detail oriented and organized
Ability to establish, grow and maintain client relationships
Positive attitude and outgoing personality
Ability to work independently and finish projects in timely manner
Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent PC skills and software knowledge
Capable of learning new systems quickly
This position requires that the successful candidate undergo a background check including FBI fingerprinting report.
