Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Job Opening in Medford, Oregon - The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for all financial management and reporting of Rogue Community Health (RCH), a nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center. The CFO oversees the financial, accounting, and revenue cycle functions. In addition, as a key Officer of the organizational, the CFO partners with the CEO and other officers to implement policies and strategies across the organization.
A primary focus of the CFO is to support the development and utilization of forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization?s operations and business plans. The CFO is responsible for board-level Finance Committee staffing responsibilities and support at board meetings as appropriate. Effectiveness as the CFO is measured by the ability to work effectively through others, to align people and strategy, and demonstrate sound judgment when tough decisions are necessary.
EDUCATION: Bachelor?s degree in accounting or finance required. MBA from an accredited university preferred. CPA desirable.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 10 years? demonstrating progressively more responsible executive level experience in healthcare finance. Five (5) years? accounting in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or non-profit community health organization desirable. Experience managing finance (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting) for a complex nonprofit with multiple funding sources including government (Federal, State, and County) contracts.
QUALIFICATIONS: The CFO will embody a unique blend of strategic and operational expertise
Experience in a senior role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of financial management strategies
Experience with Oregon Health Plan, Medicare and commercial insurance and financial management and billing practices
Significant experience in or knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including sophisticated fund and grant accounting, compliance and reporting
Strong managerial skills and proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships across functional areas
Strong customer focus and results orientation
Experience working with information technology staff to manage finance and accounting software
