Lead Software/Oracle PL/SQL Programmer full time JOB Job Opening in Cincinnati, Ohio - As part of team you are responsible for all aspects of software development and support for Order Management Systems for the Cornerstone Brands, and more specifically the Ecometry ERP system.
Lead Software Engineer plays an active role during all phases of the System Life Cycle. This includes: adding technical input during the planning phase in the form of a project plan or a technical architectural design; coordinating and conducting sessions with business units and making recommendations; heavy involvement at the development level in highly complex customizations and new application development; being extremely active in the testing stage in the area of defect enhancement; functioning as the go-to person during the development and implementation stages of the Life Cycle; playing an integral role in system integration and the system interaction within the business; performing a technical leadership role within the team; and leading multiple projects concurrently.
A Day in the Life
Designs, develops and leads projects with a high to critical complexity.
Leads the effort with users, 3rd party partners and management to gather requirements or design.
Leads multiple technical teams on complex integration projects that cross business units or multiple applications.
Directs design sessions.
Performs architecture and high level design.
Documents design and development work.
Designs, reviews and approves QA test plans.
Provides support as needed to ensure business functions are operating properly.
Performs peer and team code reviews.
Effectively manages resource assignments to meet timelines and budget; assigns work to other programmers on the project.
Participates in production support as part of an on-call rotation.

Must Haves
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent amount of applicable technical experience.
8 or more years of experience in Software Development or other related experience.
Expert computer programming and integration skills.
Oracle 10g or 11g
Oracle PL/SQL Packages, Procedures, Functions, SQL, and other Oracle Database Objects.
Screen development in Oracle Application Express, Oracle Forms, or other equivalent front end technology.
Windows and Unix knowledge.
Experience with an Enterprise Item or Order Management solution.
Experience building IT project plans.
Experience working across different areas of a business with different applications.
Experience with Source Code Control.
Ability to lead a team, give direction to others, and delegate assignments.
Excellent communication skills.
Very detail oriented.
Self managed.

Nice to Haves
Experience with other Retail Applications such as Point of Sale, Merchandise Planning, and Warehouse Management Systems.
Experience with the Ecometry product.
