Position:
Perform accounting write-up work supervision for CPA firm clients and preparation of individual and business income tax returns. Must be capable of working independently, with superior organizational and communication skills, servicing a wide range of firm clients. Full-time plus position during tax season, 25-30 hour position balance of year - Monday through Thursday schedule.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform monthly/quarterly and annual client bookkeeping supervision work which may range from complete responsibility for GL and in some cases periodic bank reconciliation and adjusting journal entries.
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual client financial statements, performing various staff accounting functions related to CPA firm while adhering to professional and quality control standards.
Prepare client B & O tax returns as necessary.
Prepare year-end working trial balances from client supplied data for purpose of preparation of small business tax returns.
Assist in preparation of individual income tax returns.
Assist in preparation of business income tax returns.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors or Associate degree in accounting with significant practical experience demonstrating proven equivalent knowledge of financial accounting and taxes in public accounting firm 5 years of full charge bookkeeping and/or accounting experience, preferably in a multi-client environment in Accounting/CPA firm. Prefer proven and demonstrated business tax preparation experience. Preference to candidates with significant Quickbooks experience.
