Sales Manager Job Opening in Salt Lake City, Utah - Primary function is outside sales calls. Responsible for revenue production for the hotel, meeting or exceeding planned revenue objectives for RevPar, occupancy and average daily rate (ADR). Must utilize a ?hands-on? approach to be actively involved on a daily basis in securing, qualifying and following up on leads to book clients. Responsibilities · Personally demonstrate a commitment to guest service by responding to guests? needs. · Meet or exceed budgeted RevPar for the hotel. · Prepares weekly sales reports. · Ensure adherence to the rules, regulations, policies, procedures and the pricing & marketing philosophy, as set forth by the hotel brand in an effort to maintain maximum occupancy, revenue, efficiency, accuracy, and most importantly, superior guest service. · Assist with developing marketing and sales plans that maximize room revenue during forecasted low occupancy periods. · Know the principal competition for each market segment. · Effectively analyze the success of our competitors in each market segment and develop marketing strategies to counteract their success by maximizing the hotel?s relative strengths. · Accurately forecast occupancy changes based on changing market conditions. · Implement the hotel?s marketing and sales plan. · Identify and maintain constant communications with the hotel?s top accounts. · Establish lists of top accounts and top target accounts. Maintain communications with these accounts on a monthly basis. · Actively sell room nights through direct sales (sales calls, cold calls), public relations, advertising, blitzes, direct mail campaigns, and other promotional programs. · Actively sell to in-house guests (greeting tours, talking with guests at continental breakfast to solicit additional leads, etc.). · Be familiar with all ?business? in the market, where that ?business? stays and why. · Maximize Revenues based on General Managers Forecasting (PACE Reports) · Reports directly to General Managers · Works Closely with Guest Service Representatives
Qualifications -Position Salary begins between $25,000-$30,000/YR plus commission plan!
