Concept Artist (Entry Level Temp) Job Opening in austin, Texas - Concept Artist (Entry Level Temp) Concept Artist (Entry Level Temp) Vigil Games is looking for a temporary Concept Artist to support Darksiders 2. The concept artist?s core responsibility is to provide the team with illustrations and production quality artwork including prop design. This is a temporary position via a staffing agency at the rate of $10/hr. We expect the length of the assignment to be 6 months. Candidate must be local to Austin, TX. Responsibilities ? Work with the Art Director to understand the vision for the art direction ? Illustrate concepts based on verbal and written direction ? Understand the game design well enough to incorporate into concept pieces where applicable ? Able to improvise within the established art direction to expand on characters, world objects, etc. Requirements ? A degree or certificate in Illustration, Painting, Industrial Design or Film Design is preferred ? 1 years experience in a Concept art role ? A portfolio that demonstrates a variety of concept design and illustration, , especially digital painting and strong understanding of color and light. ? Solid 3D skills are a plus. ? Must be able to work within a broad variety of styles and genres ? Excellent communication and team skills ? Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic Portfolio Requirements ?
