We are looking for Public Relations with Social Media experience to join our team! We are looking for these important skill sets: - previous success in gaining media coverage - existing blogger/reporter relations - experience setting up and integrating social media sites - background in developing social media strategy - implementation of social media campaigns - development of social media promotions, contests and viral strategies - tracking of the metrics of the campaigns REQUIREMENTS -- Four-year degree in public preferred. -- Minimum 2 years of full-time public relations/social media experience, agency experience preferred -- Superior media relations skills -- Exceptional written and oral communication skills -- Ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines and juggle multiple projects in a fast paced environment -- Solid Microsoft Office skills (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) -- Working knowledge of PR software like Vocus/Cision -- Working knowledge of social media monitoring and engagement tools RESPONSIBILITIES -- Drive day-to-day management of new accounts, including planning and execution, and project management. -- Responsible for account management -- Conduct media relations efforts, including developing strong relationships with the media, media pitching to various groups on a broad variety of issues and media list development -- Develop and maintain contact lists, media lists and databases -- Generate new ideas and media leads -- Write and distribute pitch letters, news releases, backgrounders, fact sheets, bios, newsletter, case studies, white papers, collateral material and other press materials. -- Monitor media and analysts to report coverage that affects the Client's business. -- Handle basic research of Client's business and industry to maintain a current knowledge base. -- Develop relationships with external audiences (media, third party constituencies, analysts, bloggers, etc.) to convey the Client's message. -- Represent Client at events or trade shows. -- Research, design, develop, implement, and manage routine client projects. -- Effectively manage media/analyst inquiries. -- Develop, pitch and position positive stories by and about the Client in business, trade and consumer media, when appropriate. -- Develop, pitch and position Client stories with industry analysts. -- Maintain steady and positive Client presence in trade media through releases, contact and responsiveness to inquiries/requests. -- Ability to blog -- Develop social media campaigns for clients that demonstrate growth and effectiveness for the client SKILLS REQUIRED -- Must have a positive attitude -- Must be accountable for progress -- Must be a good communicator both orally and in writing. -- Must have good interpersonal skills. -- Ability to work as member of a team. -- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. -- Ability to organize, prioritize and work under pressure. -- Must be extremely detail oriented. -- Must be willing to learn & master social media tools HOW TO APPLY: Accolades Public Relations believes its people are its greatest asset.
