Payroll Administrator Job Opening in Greenfield, Indiana - Purpose of Position:
Responsible for the Construction Division - In House Payroll Processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Review, enter, and post timesheets and substitute timesheets in payroll module of ViewPoint accounting system from Heavy Job software.
Generate and review payroll reports, make corrections as required.
Prepare accurate and timely payroll adjustments.
Process, post, print, assemble and mail weekly payroll checks, direct deposit notifications, and off-cycle payroll checks.
Prepare weekly direct deposit file and transmit to bank for processing.
Balance/Reconcile and Generate Federal and State tax contribution reports.
Update notes to employee records in ViewPoint.
Request stop payments, void payroll checks, and reissue payroll checks when required.
Prepare Payroll Reports and other payroll related documents as requested.
Process direct deposit enrollments, IRS Form W-4 withholding settings, employee etc.
Generate and post monthly payroll accruals.
Prepare check request forms for employee per diem, wage garnishments, child support, IRS tax levies, other Federal and State earnings withholding orders/notices for the weekly accounts payable check run.
Reconcile monthly employee deductions for union dues, complete monthly union reports, file and prepare check request forms as needed for accounts payable processing.
Assist with Tax Reporting, Balancing Year End and W2 Processing.
Requirements:
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically Microsoft Excel.
Payroll/accounting experience in a Construction environment.
Excellent payroll/accounting skills with in-house payroll software experience.
ViewPoint payroll experience preferred.
Union Reporting and Payment Experience.
Accounting Degree, with minimum 3 years in-house payroll experience helpful but not required.
Accuracy, high attention to detail, excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills are critical.
Must be a quick-learner and have excellent communication, reaching out timely to employees and supervisors as needed.
Compensation: Dependent on experience and qualifications.
