Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant Job Opening in Cranbury, New jersey - GoldenHome Cabinetry USA, LLC is seeking an Entry Level Duties will include the data entry of journal entries, cash receipts, cash disbursements, and budget entries. This position will also assist with the entry of internal investment statements to the general ledger as well as completing and reconciling financial statements at the end of the month. The ideal Entry Level Candidate will have their degree in Accounting or Finance and/or 6+ months of related experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries bank reconciliation or similar accounting and finance functions. They will also be comfortable working in Excel including formulas, functions, and workbooks.
Experienced in Quickbooks for a wholesale or manufacturing company. Proficient in Excel. Organized and good attention to detail. Experience in accounts receivable and calling customers for payments desired.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable customer files, including processing and posting payments, following up and collecting on past due accounts, recording credits, exchanges, discounts, and refunds, and preparing bank deposits. Verify all customer transactions are posted to the correct customer files and balances are accurate.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory item list, including entering purchase orders and item receipts in a timely manner, adding new items, adjusting item cost and sales price as needed, and conducting periodic physical inventory and adjusting counts. Match packing slip with purchase order to ensure receipt of all items. Ensure all items on bills are received or credits are reflected for returns.
Pay bills, enter expenses, and reconcile monthly credit card and bank statements. Maintain an orderly accounting filing system for expenses, customer files, contracts, employee records, etc.
Ensure consistent use of expense categories and provide month by month comparison income statements to management for budget analysis.
Applicants are recommended to hold an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Maintain employee records, obtain payroll forms from new employees, collect employee timesheets and verify for accuracy, and submit to CPA for biweekly payroll processing.
Maintain and report monthly taxable sales and sales tax collected to CPA. Maintain tax exempt forms for vendors.
