Position Description:
Harris Propane is seeking a highly motivated Outside Sales Representative to expand our residential and commercial customer base. Qualified sales applicants must have:
Proven track record of growing sales.
Ability to develop new prospects and quickly close sales in an assigned territory.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good organization and time management skills.
Be driven to succeed.
Experience selling propane is a plus.
This is a high energy sales position with six figure income potential in the first year.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop relationships with residential customers and businesses through cold calling to cultivate new prospects.
Ability to cold call 10 - 15 sales prospects per day. In this role, cold calling will be in person encounters with potential sales prospects.
Increase customer base year over year.
Negotiate and close sales contracts and service agreements.
Follow up with new accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and fulfillment of the job.
Maintain relationships with key accounts to ensure continual customer satisfaction.
Coordinate with plant operations to effectively service customer accounts.
Assist in the development, design, communication and implementation of the marketing plan.

Requirements
Some college or equivalent in experience & education (business related Bachelors Degree preferred)
2 years related work experience in logistics, distribution or a comparable field preferred
Ability to work outdoors and in various weather & driving conditions
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with existing and potential customers
Flexibility to work outside of basic job description
