Staff Accountant Job Opening in Baltimore, Maryland - The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Two years of relevant experience required. The Staff Accountant will manage all aspects of accounts receivables and accounts payable including billing, collections, payment posting, data input into SAP and processing payable runs in addition to other projects as assigned. This position will report directly to the Managerial Accountant.
Core Finance Responsibilities - Include but are not limited to the following:
Accounts Payable. coding of vendor invoices into SAP for payment processing. Printing Checks.
Accounts Receivable. Including but not limited to the coding customer payments into SAP for processing.
Invoicing, Sales Order Entry, BOL/Shipping document generation.
Input and review of company credit cards.
Contact customers to ensure timely payment and resolve discrepancies.
Assist with month-end closing and journal entries.
Other projects as assigned.
Education, Experience, & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
Minimum of two year's relevant experience
Strong PC skills, including intermediate Excel skills with Microsoft Office. Experience with SAP, a plus.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, show adaptability and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail.
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills and initiative through research and drive.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.
Entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic combined with a pragmatically optimistic can-do attitude.
