National Contracts Assistant Job Opening in Downers Grove, Illinois - POSITION SUMMARY : Utilizes skills and experience to respond to various contracting opportunities. Provides support to Department personnel to develop bid and contract responses. Maintain current files and materials related to National Contracts. Perform all other job duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Primarily responsible for the review, summarization and coordination of all bids and contracts received.
Provide support in the preparation, assembly, reproductions and transmittal of proposals, provider applications and contracts for new and existing business.
Review outgoing materials for completeness, dates and signatures.
Under the direction of the Director of Business Development:
Maintains/refines the National Contracts database to track corporate wide contracts;
Maintains file documentation according to set procedures;
Produce contract summary documents, payer set ups and other required materials for compliant contracts files
Completes various forms, applications and other data requested from States, payer and customers
Screens and processes department mail;
Orders and maintains inventory of supplies;
Coordinates department mailings;
Conducts market research projects; and
Assists in the coordination of trade shows.
Perform other duties as assigned.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
Work with Regional and Agency Directors as well as contracting entities to maintain current lines of business.
Assist in the development of responsive, responsible bid applications delivered on time within the constraints of the RFP.
Maintain consistent and accurate information regarding department activity to management.
Accurately maintain data in the contracts database. Support agency and support center staff to access necessary data
Utilizes effective communication skills by demonstrating respect, concern and courtesy in all interpersonal relationships.
Communicates information in an accurate, concise and timely manner.
Protects confidentiality of information in written and verbal communications.
Accepts assignments and extra duties with flexibility and willingness.
Adheres to Company personnel policies to enhance the Department?s operations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma and advanced course work or continuing education
One to three years experience providing support to a department or senior management. Healthcare experience preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize a diverse workload and meet simultaneous deadlines
Self-confident, energetic, tenacious, and detail-oriented, with a high sense of urgency
Results driven and customer oriented, with a focus on providing value-added service
