Clinical Associate
The clinical associate will support initiatives both in the laboratory and in Luminist's ongoing clinical trials. This position will provide the Clinical Associate with exposure to many aspects of early-stage diagnostic development; it will be a unique opportunity for accelerated learning and offers the potential for career growth in a number of related fields.
Tasks and responsibilities:
-Assisting Laboratory Scientists with human blood specimen preparation and testing-Documenting and processing clinical samples shipments from trial sites
-Performing record keeping, aliquoting, and storage of specimens
-Preparing laboratory kits (printing labels, assembling kits, and tracking shipments)
-Providing logistical support for clinical trials, including opportunities to assume responsibility for communication and management of specific trial sites
The Clinical Associate will have regular opportunities to participate in other areas of the business if desired, including clinical/laboratory planning, study design, scientific writing, discussion with clinical and scientific Key Opinion Leaders, performing budgeting and purchasing, etc.
Preferred Background:
-Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, laboratory/health sciences, or a related field
-Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality; strong organizational skills
-Laboratory experience (e.g., pipetting and lab safety)
-Personal intererst in/passion for improving healthcare
