ENERGY/WATER CONSERVATION CORPSMEMBER Job Opening in denver, Colorado - ENERGY/WATER CONSERVATION CORPSMEMBER ENERGY/WATER CONSERVATION CORPSMEMBER Energy Conservation Corpsmember Position: Mile High Youth Corps offers Energy Conservation Corpsmembers the opportunity to reduce energy consumption in their local communities. Teams install high-efficiency CFL light bulbs, sink aerators, and shower heads into homes in the Denver Metro Area. In addition, clients are educated on other ways to reduce their resource consumption and receive a utility audit to further qualify for other utility reduction measures. Water Conservation Corpsmember Position: Mile High Youth Corps� Water Conservation Corpsmembers install high-efficiency toilets into low-income homes and non-profit organizations. This program allows Corpsmembers to be a part of saving millions of gallons of water per year in the Denver Metro Area while helping Denver citizens to lower their utility bills. These positions require a 5-month commitment from July 11th-Dec 9th. Requirements: 18-24 years of age; must currently hold a HS Diploma or GED. Benefits: Energy Corpsmembers will gain knowledge of energy/resource efficiency measures, while Water Corpsmembers will gain skills in plumbing. Both programs offer Corpsmembers a $1,250 Americorps Education Award upon completion of term/hours to apply to education needs.
