Redemption Sports is hiring for part time sales associate. This is NOT a seasonal position. This position has the ability to become full time depending on performance and availability. We are Reno-Tahoe's premier high-end resource for all of the clothing, equipment and gear needed to pursue an active lifestyle revolving around the outdoors. Specializing in outdoor needs for both summer and winter sports, Redemption Sports carries a variety of equipment suited for all adventures. In the winter season, we sell and rent skis, snowboards, boots, bindings and snowshoes, as well as many different brands and styles of winter jackets, pants, gloves, beanies and goggles. In the summertime, we sell and rent stand up paddle boards, and kayaks. We also sell longboards, inflatables and a large variety of backpacking, hiking and camping gear.
The Job
Here's what you'll do as a Redemption Sports retail associate:
Greet customers quickly and warmly as they enter the store - let them know you're glad they're there. Provide outstanding customer service that's sincere, enthusiastic, and professional. Maintain a great attitude that reflects our commitment to the customer. Qualify customer needs, figure out what's right for them, and help them get through one of our shopping channels - either in store or online. Share your knowledge of store products and services to build sales and minimize returns. Recommend additional merchandise that complements the customers selections. Use point-of-sale systems to process customer purchases (we'll train you on this!) Handle returns with courtesy, ease, and professionalism. Be at work and be there on time - your team is counting on you!
Qualifications
You don't necessarily need retail experience or a degree, but you'll need to be a self-starter with good time management skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. And a few other things:
Use excellent guest service skills. Strong work ethic and communication skills, Adaptability, Reliable, Outgoing and friendly, Attention to details, Ability to multitask. Must be 18 years or to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
