Guignard Company is a surety bond agency in Longwood, Florida. Since our founding in 1977, we have been guided by a passion for finding the right solution for our clients. Guignard is searching for a Controller to help take us to the next level; an innovative, self-directed individual who embraces challenge and will work cooperatively in a team environment to harness all of the firm?s resources toward expanding and growing the agency.
Requirements and Competencies
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or related field
Must have at least 4 years accounting or finance experience
Must be able to perform more advanced accounting procedures
Must be able to multi-task, adapt to changes, and work as part of a team
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have a proactive approach to problem solving
Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
Desired Qualifications
Previous leadership experience preferred
Budgeting and forecasting experience preferred
Experience in Peachtree preferred
Primary Responsibilities
Direct all areas of Accounting, including but not limited to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Tax, and Treasury functions
Maintain the integrity and reliability of the general ledger through month-end closings and reconciliation
Provide timely and accurate financial reporting
Manage working capital effectively
Establish annual budget and play key role in maintaining and forecasting
Recommend and develop process improvement opportunities
Coordinate new systems implementation to ensure the highest level of productivity and efficiency
Provide leadership in Guignard Company?s strategic planning process

Salary: $50,000.00 to $75,000.00 /year
