Software Developer(s); Junior and Mid-level Job Opening in West Hartford, Connecticut - We are looking for (2) skilled developers (one junior and one mid-level career) to join our software development team. Our small team is expanding to build out our next generation software platform. Our new software will allow us to continue our rapid growth by entering new markets, expanding our sales and enhancing customer service. There is an opportunity to share in future growth.
Realgy Energy Services provides retail energy sales of natural gas, electricity and energy information primarily to business. Our current footprint covers Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. We differentiate the commodity nature of our business by offering advanced buying and service options to the commercial marketplace (which are more common among large energy buyers).
You will be working with Senior Developers and business domain experts. We recognize that the best way to deliver high quality software is for great developers to work directly with business experts. Therefore, the role will require working with operations, customer service and sales teams in a cross-functional doing Domain Driven Design and becoming well versed in the business.
We are a small team that practices continuous integration and Dev/Ops. You will be challenged to learn and be well-versed in all aspects the software development life-cycle.
Core Skill Requirements
OO/Functional Programming experience with a SOLID mentality. C# and is our preferred platform, but we are looking for skilled developers who can learn and are eager to develop skills
Experience with developing code driven specifications through creating of unit tests, and evolving tests to reflect evolution of of specifications.
An understanding of data and databases. Relational design and query skills are essential with SQL Server.
DevOps - Solid understanding of version control and build systems. Ability to use scripting tools, preferably Powershell to help manage the build and deploy environment.
Production Support - our development team supports what we build. This will require strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, and a desire to make the need infrequent and easy when required.
Nice to have skills and experience
Messaging based programing
with MVC along with web-based front-end programming with HTML, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript
Azure cloud offerings including ServiceBus and automatic deployment
Infrastructure - IIS, VMs and Security

COMPENSATION:
For your hard work you will be rewarded with a competitive salary and benefits including:
Base Salary: Junior; $50,000-$60,000 Mid-level: $80,000-$90,000
