The Western Group is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Inside Sales Representative
About Us
The Western Group is a manufacturer of woven and welded wire screens and perforated plate screening media. We also supply polyurethane and rubber screens used in the sand and gravel industry, and are a dealer for a full line of crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.
Job Summary
Assists customers (both walk-in and call-in) with selecting and purchasing parts, supplies, and screening media for their operation Quoting buy-out and manufactured parts and supplies, processing and entering orders.
Key Responsibilities
Answer phones, greet customers, and determine their needs.
Answer customer questions regarding Company products and their respective uses, features/drawbacks, warranties, prices, etc.
Process orders (availability, pricing, delivery schedule, etc.) and ring up sales (cash, credit card or in-house credit line).
Process returns and refunds/credits.
Support outside sales representatives.
May perform other duties and responsibilities, as required.
Job Requirements
High School Diploma required; college experience desired.
2+ years of customer service and / or inside sales experience. Experience in sheet metal fabrication or the sand and gravel industry would be a plus.
Strong math background required.
Sales orientation, effective communication skills (telephone, verbal and written), and commitment to excellent customer service.
Ability to operate standard office equipment (computer, copier, FAX machine, printer, etc.).
Able to use standard office products including Excel, Word, Access, Outlook
Good attendance record, dependable and trustworthy.
