Director of Business Development Job Opening in Reno, Nevada - PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Director of Business Development (DBD) for the Treatment Placement Specialist Team is responsible for leading, coaching and developing a team of Treatment Placement Specialists (TPS) within their assigned Region to service existing clients as well identifying new referral sources and partners in treatment for Acadia?s Recovery Division. The DBD will be working within the Acadia network of residential treatment centers and hospitals as they develop strategies to attract and serve those clients. DBD?s will be responsible for driving the overall performance, management and compliance of their team of TPS. At times, DBD?s will Present TPS/Acadia services to decision makers and at times negotiate contracts for services. The DBD will be responsible for training the TPS to determine which facilities within and without Acadia will best meet the treatment needs of the referral, as well as how to manage their assigned territory to maximize their availability to clients in need of our services. DBD?s serve as key liaisons between leadership, referring partners and their TPS team in order to improve the overall experience of the process as well as the performance of associated facilities. DBD?s positively represent Acadia in the behavioral health community by cultivating relationships to attract business opportunities to the organization and foster strategic partnerships.

Managing 9 Treatment Placement Specialists (TPS) and 1 Strategic Account Manager (SAM)
Combination of field and home office time
Reporting to VP of Business Development
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lead, coach and develop a high functioning field-based treatment placement team.
Hire and retain top-level talent within assigned region.
Develop marketing and business development plans with the facilities to attract and service clients in need.
Serve as a resource and point of guidance to others in leadership positions
Identify decision makers in the target markets and reach out to establish relationships within the behavioral healthcare community.
Conduct field sessions with each TPS quarterly to drive performance, enhance skills and support efforts
Complete face-to-face sales meetings with decision makers to understand customer?s needs and identify/eliminate obstacles to securing ongoing partnerships
Work with their Strategic Account Manager (SAM) and TPS to negotiate and secure partnerships
Work with team to develop messaging, customize presentations to a target audience and present in meetings geared to creating an awareness of Acadia?s services.
Serve as an escalation point for the TPS on facility or customer issues.
Attend and participate in select conferences where opportunity exists to market Acadia?s services.
Respond immediately to service and referral inquiries from their team or directly when applicable
Ensure all administrative duties are complete, timely and documented; including managing team budget, activities, performance and communication
Participate in business development team meetings and assigned projects.
Meet monthly business development goals.
Remain current on behavioral healthcare industry developments and assigned states regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor?s degree in relevant field is required,
Master?s degree in business, social services or education is preferred.
Minimum of five years? experience driving business results in a healthcare role; preferably in behavioral health.
Proven ability to build relationships, lead, manage and drive business results through others.
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of office administration procedures with the ability to operate most standard office equipment.
Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.
Exercises sound judgment in responding to needs of their team, removing obstacles from their path
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames. Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.
Capable of working within established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the organization.
