We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in our Philadelphia, PA offices. The Accounting Manager will provide accounting department oversight and leadership for Fernley & Fernley and Premier Meetings by Fernley. The Accounting Manager also serves as the executive resource to our account executives and their clients by providing support for the financial duties of their client operations. The Accounting Manager will supervise a team of three and reports directly to the President and COO.
Principle Duties of the position include:
Oversight of all Accounting Functions:
Act as the liaison with the banks and credit card processor.
Provide timely and accurate billing for company and association revenues, including monthly operations expense billing.
Liaise with outside auditors and accountants.
Provide day to day leadership for the accounting department. Supervise the activities of the Staff Accountant, Accounts Payable Coordinator and the Accounts Receivable Coordinator.
Oversight of multiple accounting statements.
Monitor and supervise the disbursements to F&F and association vendor on a timely basis
Preparation and oversight review of Monthly Financial Statements for the company and our association clients.
Reconciliation of multiple bank accounts.
Month end credit card administration and reconciliation.
Oversight of 401K administration in conjunction with QPA.
Education and Work Experience:
BA/BS Degree in Accounting required.
7-10 years of accounting industry experience required.
Prior supervisory experience required. Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor others.
Superior analytical, financial, and problem solving skills
Prior data base management experience.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and various accounting programs.
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, while managing competing priorities.
Ability to work independently, and participate as a team player in a cross functional environment.
Essential Job Functions (as defined under the American's with Disabilities Act):

Knowledge of accounting programs.
Ability to communicate effectively.
