Senior .Net Developer Job Opening in Austin, Texas - SpeakWrite is the largest provider of non-medical transcription in the United States and we're looking for a software developer to join our growing team. We focus our service in areas where thorough, accurate, and timely documentation impacts people in a significant way - like in legal, law enforcement, protective services, and government agencies.
We are looking for a Senior Software Developer that is comfortable working in all areas from the front-end UI to the backend database, ideally with 8 or more years of experience in an Enterprise environment. We build web apps, desktop apps, telephony apps, mobile apps, and more to support our clients and our internal infrastructure. Most of our work is done with C# , SQL , and client-side JavaScript ( ExtJS , jQuery , etc), so the right applicant would already have a significant level of experience in these primary areas. Our technology stack includes a lot more technologies such as iOS , Android , Ruby , and , just to name a few. Having experience in these secondary technologies will give any applicant extra points that could put them over another applicant that does not have this experience. Overall, however, what matters to us most is someone who loves software development, fits with our team culture, and is willing to wear many hats (figuratively, actual hats are not required).

QUALIFICATIONS
B.S. Computer Science
8+ years of large web and application development experience
Proven knowledge in C#, MVC, and SQL
Good analytical mind, problem solving skills, able and willing to learn.
HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
Experience with Git or Mercurial
Excellent communication skills
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop data-driven applications (front and back end)
Maintain existing applications with an eye for improvement
Participate in requirements gathering sessions to drive functional requirements and design specifications
Identify improvements for existing web applications, customer specific web applications and internal custom applications
Interact with team members to provide support and technical guidance

REST Architecture experience
Build and Test Automation
Telephony experience (specifically with Asterisk and Adhearsion)
