Sr. Financial Analyst Job Opening in Minneapolis, Minnesota - Ideal Candidate: Our ideal candidate will have strong financial analysis, budgeting and technical skills along with retail/eCommerce industry experience. We are looking for a proven self-starter with strong analytical skills who has an ability to dive deep, summarize, and communicate important data and who is experienced in extracting and transforming information into actionable solutions.
Job Purpose: The analyst is responsible for analyzing results; managing the budget process; identifying financial trends and recommending actions to management to drive growth and profitability for the Company.
Deliverables:
Prepare and analyzeconsolidated reporting at all levels of the organization
Manage the company?s annual operating budget including:
Revenue and margin by channel
Departmental budgets
Balance sheet and cash flow budgets
Partner with business leaders to produce the Company forecast. Ensure that areas of risk and opportunityare identified and captured
Responsible for developing financial modeling and ad-hoc analysisto support strategic initiatives and opportunities
Identify and communicate business trends and key drivers in order to provide insightful analytics
Partner with Merchandising and Marketing teams to identify and implement margin improvement opportunities
Support preparationofBoard of Directors and Shareholder reports and information
Development and support of compensation and incentive plans
Project lead on Finance related initiatives as well as process improvementand automation
What you?ll need:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required
7 plus years of business experience in Finance roles with progressively increasing levels of responsibility
The ability to demonstrate critical thinking, analyze raw data, draw conclusions, develop actionable recommendations and present information in a clear and concise manner
Strong analytical, financial modeling (Excel) and proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications required ? Word, Access, and Powerpoint
Experience with database information such as SQL, Essbase, SX.e a plus
Team player aligned with our company's core values
Experience working with retail/ecommerce organization a plus
Strong communication skills (oral, written, and numerical)
