Position Overview
Protective Insurance is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant for its Finance and Accounting Department in Carmel, IN. The Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and work with the team to accomplish financial reporting objectives and goals.
Primary Duties
Prepares statutory financials on a quarterly and annual basis
Assist with quarterly and annual consolidation processes
Prepares various corporate and premium tax returns
Review monthly transactions to ensure data validity
Assist with other special projects on an as needed basis
Skills/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with effective time management and organizational skills
Strong computer skills with an ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office products
CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA preferred
Exposure to property/ casualty insurance industry preferred
