Advertising and Event Sponsorship Sales Account Executive Job Opening in Stamford, Connecticut - Position: Full- time sales professional responsible for strategically cross-selling print advertising, digital media, social media, and major event sponsorships. Must strive for tremendous sales growth while managing day-to-day sales activities for a leading multi-platform media company, Unger Media. Create, present and close comprehensive multi-platform programs that leads to increased revenue, percentage of advertiser budget, and market share.
Unger Media, located in Stamford,CT, publishes Serendipity Magazine, has extensive digital and social media platforms and owns four recognized signature events. Serendipity, published seven times per year, is a luxury lifestyle magazine distributed throughout Fairfield and Westchester Counties. Unger Media also produces a dynamic web-site, , and has extensive digital and social media properties. Unger Media owns and produces four signature events: the Greenwich Wine + Food Festival, Serendipity?s Fashion Night Out, The Serendipity Golf Classic and Serendipity?s Leaders in Business event.
Responsibilities:
Create, present and close comprehensive multi-platform marketing programs
Generate revenue through the sale of print advertising, digital media, social media and event sponsorships
Proactively uncover new prospect categories and brands
Consistently arrange in-person meetings and telephone calls
Develop and execute sales strategy to maximize sales results and exceed sales goals
Display strong follow-through and extensive client communications on existing business
Update sales activity in a timely manner into company database and analyze sales reports to track current progress and historical comparisons
Develop effective proposals based on client needs and greatest sales potential
Build, refine, update and maintain pipeline of prospects by proactively researching and identifying new category and brand opportunities
Up-sell and cross-sell current accounts
Create dynamic sales presentations/event media kits that creatively and distinctly differentiate company?s media/event assets to targeted prospects
Attend all company events, client events and prospective business functions
Skills and Experience:
Strong communications skills including writing and grammar
Extensive knowledge of all media marketing platforms and their optimization based on client strategy
Ability to identify client needs, understand marketing objectives, and develop professional relationships with clients through effective questioning and techniques
Ability to sell face-to-face and by telephone through strategically targeting appropriate prospects and closing sales
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills in creating and building client relationships
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail in deadline driven and team-oriented work environment
Strong national, regional, and local contacts with brands and agencies
