We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will perform general ledger and account reconciliations; manager Account Receivable, Account Payable and Cost Accounting; assist in financial statement preparation, month end close, in support of Finance Department operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain the general ledger of multiple departments
Prepare account reconciliations and related journal entries
Prepare and review financial statement for accuracy, consistency and completeness of all relevant information; variance analytics
Monitor, maintain accurate and timely intercompany accounts and interface with subsidiary accounting personnel
Process accounts payables and receivables as assigned
Assist with Payroll processing
Prepare state sales & use tax
Work with Controller and other managers to develop and sustain internal controls and documentation
Assist with external audit
Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility
Perform miscellaneous projects and completes various tasks as requested by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
Two or more years of experience in Accounting
Experience with Sage 300 CRE (formally Timberline) is a plus
Solid knowledge of GAAP/accounting theory
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Exceptional work ethic; ability to work in a team environment
Advanced Experience with Microsoft Office Products- Especially Excel
