Director of Sales Job Opening in Norcross, Georgia - This position is at the Director Level of the Organizational Chart. Need bachelors degree minimum and 5 years in a similar role.
Primary Functions of the Position:
Under the General Guidance of the General Manager and within limits of established policies, procedures and company manuals, is responsible for selling, planning, and producing all events sold by you. Pursue sales opportunities and leads as distributed or as you generate. Build, manage and lead all other Account Managers, Event Planners and Sales Assistants.
Secondary Functions of the Position:
Uphold and enforce all policies and procedure implemented by management at ADE.
Job Responsibilities:
Financial
Follow accounting process guidelines regarding expenses
Discuss concerns regarding Lost Business with Sales Team
Assist in Hiring and training future Sales Assistants and Account Managers as determined by the General Manager and CEO
Events
Manages and directs catering staff, that includes full-time, part-time and call in staff
For complicated, detail event productions, responsible for supervising the functions from origination to execution
Ensure the success of events by managing, directing and coordinating with Client, Venue, Chefs, Operations, Supervisor and other ADE Staff Members
Conduct the continuous training of all sales and planning staff and maintain touch points with their progress
Sales
Expected to meet both individual and team monthly and annual predetermined sales goals
Participate in the development and maintenance of the company?s Sustainable Competitive Advantage and brand in the marketplace
Develop and maintain relationships with clients and venue partners to maximize revenue potential
Booking new and repeat business through various efforts (sales calls, mailings, networking, etc).
Maintain accurate client, event, and proposal information in Caterease
Responsible for creating proposals, contracts and BEO?s, as well as all other arrangements as they relate to social and corporate event planning
Responsible for creatively up-selling menu items for events and conducting site tours
Help answer phones
Attend weekly BEO meetings
Lead and plan Sales Meetings with your sales team on a bi-weekly basis
Mentor and champion the sales team
Maintain healthy communication between sales, kitchen, operations and management
Conduct quarterly meetings with Chef de Cuisine to discuss feedback from Sales Team on Menus
Ensure accuracy of sales proposals
Conduct walkthrough of any needed off-premise venues
Exclusive rights to solicit and contract corporate events into MMH, LLC venues within defined parameters
Attend Industry Networking Events and All Marketing Events
Business Development
Responsible for building new business relationships through networking and social media
Research & develop growth opportunities for ADE including new venues, new planner relationships and new clients
Operations
Turn all invoices and payments into accounting following the written accounting process guidelines
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
Oversee event logistics including paperwork flow, proposal accuracy and timeliness, and communication with operations and culinary team
Ensure accuracy of all rental requests for your events
Coordinate and oversee internal and external catering events
Demonstrate creativity in planning and executing events
Personnel
Conduct Annual Reviews for all Account Managers
Document any Write-ups/HR related issues pertaining to the Account Managers
