DESCRIPTION:
Manage customers and distributors to maintain and grow our business.
REPORTING OFFICIAL:
Director of Global Sales
DUTIES:
Prepare an overall sales plan including targeted activities for the assigned territory.
Visit our distributors and customers on a regular basis and analyze/understand customer needs. Attend and complete site surveys as needed to help understand all the technical requirements of the project, determine decision makers, and work to get Basler products accepted for purchase.
Work with distributors to identify targeted new accounts, develop action plans to work with these accounts, and track and record activity for these items.
Work with distributors and end users to identify product-training needs. Work with the Basler Corporate office to help provide the training and support needed.
Travel up to 50% in the assigned territories. The travel may be a combination of visits along with the local Distributors or direct customer visits.
Research and understand the competition in the market including the companies and competitive products.
Input all contacts, trip reports, and opportunities in Basler?s CRM system on a timely basis.
Complete regular follow-ups on all past dues over 60 days and provide feedback to Accounting.
Take the lead to resolve any commercial items in the assigned territory.
Complete evaluations of the distributors on a regular basis and provide feedback on the evaluations with the distributors and their direct supervisor.
Work in conjunction with Basler?s Marketing department to provide feedback and direction for competitive and market analysis and new product development.
Be technically strong and knowledgeable of all Basler products that will be presented to the customers.
Present the Basler brand and products to customers during meeting and seminars.
Attend and support local trade shows as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration or Engineering
3+ years of sales experience
Good written and oral skills.
Strong PC skills (Microsoft® Office).
Fluent in English and preferably at least one other language (speak and write English without fault or errors).
Travel up to 50% of the time in the assigned territory.
