Our Sales Consultants play a vital role in making sure we are able to meet our customer?s needs. To be successful in this position, you will need to be able to connect with new customers as well as build and grow relationships with existing customers. A strong sense of urgency for the customer, ability to work independently, customer service focus, follow-up and tenacity are minimum requirements.
Summary of Position Activities:
Manage a full and productive sales route in Lansing and surrounding area
Continually grow new accounts within respective territory
Maintain a professional relationship with current and prospective customers
Develop an understanding of each customers? business
Ensure continual growth with customers through sales penetration in all the product categories
Demonstrate value by suggesting new items, menu ideas, marketing ideas, and preparing food cost analysis for customers
Maintain customer order guides, pricing, and point of sale materials
Manage the account receivables for all customer accounts and ensure cash receipts and deposit slips are handled according to Company policy
Accurately and timely transmit customer orders within Company guidelines
Effectively communicate with all departments to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded
Requirements:
Previous restaurant selling experience required
Prior experience in the food industry preferred
Strong communication skills
Ability to cold call on potential customers
Strong Computer skills, MS Office products
Must have clear driving record
Bachelor?s degree in business or related field preferred
