Plant Accountant Job Opening in Johnson City, Tennessee - Plant Accountant
Looking for a high level of Excel proficiency.
Develops, interprets, and implements complex financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial reporting, analysis, planning and control.
An undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance is required, with a minimum of 3-5 years? work experience managing or directing accounting responsibilities, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Thorough knowledge of Excel and understanding of basic accounting systems is required. Experience with SAP and ADP is preferred
Maintain one or more of the following: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll cash management, month end closing, other non-routine accounting items.
Prepares and reviews monthly financial package.
Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintains fixed asset/depeeciation schedules and prepares tracking of CIP
Coordinate with all levels of management the timely processing of information and provide feedback or analysis as needed.
Assists in the preparation of financial data required for forcasting and/or planning for multiple business units.
Assist in the development of the budget, planning, and other financial requirements as needed.
Works with external and internal auditors to provide needed information and analysis.
Assures policies are being followed and recommends improvements. Helps guide the plant through change.
Coordinates SOX compliance/audit.
Interact with Shared Services on AP/AR/Payroll
