Bookkeeper Job Opening in Knoxville, Tennessee - The primary purpose of job position is to assist in day to day accounting functions of the facility in accordance with current acceptable accounting and cost reimbursement principles relating to mobile home operations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Full process accounts payable and receivables
Analyze and reconcile the general ledger
Bank account reconciliations
Preparing and recording journal entries
Follow up on outstanding checks
Accounts Payable and Receivable entry, reconciliation, filing and research for multiple entities
Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly internal reporting and analysis
Revenue cycle accounting (including revenue recognition, accounts receivable, bad debts and related reserve estimation)
Research of accounts as needed
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate?s degree or Bachelor?s degree in Accounting.
Must be able to prepare work papers to reconcile all balance sheet accounts Must be able to assist with preparation of balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reports
Strong computer skills, including Excel and Word
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Accuracy and attention to detail is required
Ability to organize and prioritize effectively
Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing dynamic environment with deadline pressures
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple clients
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting strongly preferred
5 years hands on experience in either RV or car dealership accounting
Must be a highly motivated self-starter
