WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Our branch location in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a highly motivated individual with a keen attention to detail for their Loan Processor opening.
The Loan Processor is primarily responsible for proactively communicating with clients to obtain the necessary documents and ensuring the client has a clear understanding of the mortgage process. This includes, but is not limited to advising the borrower on their financial status and payment methods.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Obtain missing documentation and/or corrections as necessary.
Initiate the title work process
Initiate the appraisal process
Perform clerical functions
Stay abreast of changing company policy, mortgage regulations, laws, and generally accepted industry best practices, and be willing to take initiative to train and stay informed.
Complete other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCE SS FUL:
High School Diploma or equivalent required;
An associate's degree or certification in finance, mathematics, accounting, or another equivalent field of study preferred;
At least one (1) year of hands-on loan processing experience in the mortgage banking industry required;
At least two (2) years of on-the-job loan processing experience in the mortgage banking industry, strongly preferred;
Must have exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
Must be dependable with meeting deadlines and managing time;
Have an ability to work independently on multiple files simultaneously;
Possess strong oral and written communication skills;
Previous experience with Encompass, strongly preferred;
