Key Carrier Job Opening in Denver, Colorado - JOB SUMMARY
Key Carrier role is an elevated extension of the Coordinator position. When acting as a Key Carrier, Coordinator's carry keys to the store while taking on a leadership role maintaining all aspects of the store. Key Carriers alternate their role based on store needs, predominantly performing the role of Coordinator and occasionally acting as Key Carrier. Applicant must have open availability, including nights and weekends.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Major Areas of Responsibility
When acting as Key Carrier:
Customer Experience:
Maintains coverage of front line and ensures ? sales floor visibility during assigned shift
? Adheres to and acts as the Manager on Duty (MOD)
? Ensures service level is consistent with the company?s standards in efficiency, friendliness and
cleanliness
? Creates a positive internal / external customer experience
? Role models exceptional customer service
Human Resources:
? Provides continuous feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates
? Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures, i.e. Labor laws, break policies, Open Door,
Associate motivation etc.
? Maintains a risk free environment and follows guidelines when reporting any incidents
Merchandising:
? Maintains Customer Ready Standards while acting as MOD
? Ensures the execution of merchandise programs
? Adheres to directives and completes projects as directed
Operations:
? Adheres to and ensures compliance of all Best Methods
? Acts responsibly in following company authorization procedures (i.e. returns, layaway approvals, voids,
pickups)
? Supports Door to Floor, ensuring all Associates are utilizing Working Smart Principles
? Maintains proper Associate coverage in service areas, enhancing the customers? experience
Loss Prevention & Security:
? Ensures physical security and safety procedures are adhered to and company assets are protected
? Ensures all operational/shrink procedures and strategies are followed by Associates and issues are
addressed/resolved as needed
? Maintains a risk free environment and follow guidelines when reporting any incidents
? Partners with Loss Prevention and Management on all concerns and potential LP issues
? Special projects as assigned.
JOB KNOWLEDGE
Minimum formal education, if any, required to perform this job e.g., Bachelor's Degree in
Accounting, Law Degree).
High School graduate or equivalent degree preferred
Minimum job skills required to perform this job (for example: programming languages, strong
interpersonal skills, computer software packages).
Knowledge of company standard software, systems and procedures
Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores
Good communication, interpersonal and decision making abilities
Strong technical abilities
Solid problem solving skills
Ability to effectively delegate and follow-up on multiple people/tasks
Ability to partner with Management regarding Associate Relation?s issues
Ability to act quickly under challenging circumstances
Has high performance standards for self
High level of maturity, integrity and dependability
Minimum experience required to perform this job.
Recommended 1-2 years' experience as a Coordinator or equivalent retail/supervisory experience
