Outside Sales Job Opening in Wixom, Michigan - 1. The Role
The role of Industrial Sales Engineer is primarily responsible for proactive sales of generators. This is accomplished by utilizing technical, organizational, and customer relations knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs resulting in revenue generation. This position will be accountable to the Sales Manager.
2. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Cultivate, nurture and maintain long term relationships with end users, electrical contractors, general contractors and/or engineering firms
Responsible for evaluating assigned territory, whether geographic or vertical, product and service marketability in terms of customer needs
Responsible for the strategic penetration into their assigned territory to identify and pursue targeted markets and opportunities
Works with Sales Support to ensure quoted details are accurate, complete and communicated effectively and timely
Responsible for growing market share within assigned territory
Develops and delivers sales presentations, workshops, etc. in a professional and effective manner
Responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals and objectives
Works with customers in resolving problems with products and services as needed
Develops and maintains communication in a cooperative manner with all levels of staff
Manages budgets, participates in forecasting, and maintains associated metrics
3. Qualifications

College degree or relevant experience
Two to four years? experience in a successful sales role, preferably in power generators
Highly motivated, results driven, and be able to work independently and make decisions with little guidance
Attention to detail
Skilled in all Microsoft products including Outlook, Excel, and Word
This position is based out of the Wixom location
