Lead Sales Associate Job Opening in Hot Springs, South dakota - A Federal Government Agency needs a Full-time, Lead Retail Sales Associate in Hot Springs, SD. Working with and for America's Veterans is an opportunity to help and assist in providing quality service to our nation's veterans at the Veterans Canteen Service and Veterans Healthcare System.
Incumbent is the working leader over other sales associates while performing the full range of sales associate duties; assisting in training assigned associates, emphasizing proper sales techniques, courtesy, merchandise presentation, merchandise control and proper Oracle procedures regarding stock counts, etc. Answers questions of lower-graded sales associates concerning established operating and forms/reports completion. Informs management of customer requests and complaints and makes recommendations to management on ways to better meet customer needs
Incumbent must possess good people skills, demonstrates excellent customer service skills in daily interactions with customers, communication, listening, empathy, conflict resolution, and maintaining a positive attitude in a friendly manner.
Incumbent should possess knowledge in the following areas: cash registers, and must be able to maintain a change fund and prepare daily cash and sales reports. Must be able to assist in ensuring optimum stock availability by taking periodic stock counts, post merchandise control records
Experience:
Ability to read and interpret instructions and perform simple calculations
Ability to merchandise
Ability to plan and organize daily tasks and lead lower grade employees
Minimum of (1) year experience preferred
Ability to work evenings and weekends
