Medical Revenue Generalist Job Opening in Grand Rapids, Michigan - MED-1 Occupational Health System is West Michigan?s resource for occupational healthcare with clinics throughout Grand Rapids and the Lakeshore. Under the direct supervision of the Executive Vice President, the Medical Revenue Generalist supports client billing and related cash flow services for MED-1 Occupational Health System, which includes coding, billing, accounts receivable, and related processes.
Qualifications:
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines.
Bachelors degree or minimum 2-4 years related work experience in A/R, collections, billing processing, and customer service utilizing telephone skills preferred.
Working knowledge of MS Office programs.
Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Understand and maintain knowledge of the work flow processes of various payer systems and develop a thorough understanding of State of Michigan Workers? Compensation rules and regulations.
Strong customer focus with well-developed interpersonal and communications skills; results driven with strong initiative, and follow through.
Demonstrated proficiency in computer software programs for billing cycle management.
Strong working knowledge of procedural and diagnostic coding and medical terminology preferred.
Confidential with patient, client, company, staff and clinic financial information.
Utilizes basic accounting knowledge, skills, and documentation.
Work well with others and interact with all levels of staff.
