24 credit hours of annual Accounting Continuing Education training with focus areas around any of the following: Billing and Coding, Medicaid Fair Hearing, QuickBooks, Taxation, Payroll, Financial Controls, Budgeting, HIPAA
In-service on internal organizational policies and procedures
Additional on the job training will be provided.

Primary Responsibilities
Use QuickBooks to accurately record the organization's financial information.
Review and monitor costs and identify cost saving opportunities.
Manage expense reports and petty cash accounts
Prepare financial reports including variance analysis of organization year over year performance
Support Program Managers in analyzing the financial performance of their facilities and setting goals to improve performance
Support Executive Director in setting up systems to track and report-on metrics that are critical to organization performance
Recommend financial actions by analyzing various accounts such as inventory and receivables
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Process bi-weekly payroll
Summary of Duties:
At the end of every month, prepare and send out all invoices (billings).
Input all organization payables into QuickBooks and ensure bills are paid timely according to organization cash flow
Prepare and book all general ledger entries as necessary into QuickBooks.
Review cash balances.
Prepare monthly cash flow forecast report and review with Executive Director.
Prepare monthly financial statements and review with Executive Director. Make adjusting journal entries and close the books each month.
Perform quarterly audits of resident funds sheets, resident account sheets and EBT transactions
Prepare annual operating budget
Participate in monthly board of directors finance committee meetings
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience with A/P, A/R, Billings and General Accounting.
Minimum of 2 years of data entry experience with Accounting Systems like QuickBooks.
Good Excel skills, attention to detail, problem solving, time management & strong communication skills.
Medical Billing experience preferred
Working Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
