SQL Administrator Job Opening in Ferndale, Michigan - Summary:
Under the direction of management, the Software Administrator will be responsible for managing the Prophet 21 ERP system to ensure that it meets the daily operational and accounting objectives of the organization. This position is responsible for all workflow, support, being involved in setup, changes, maintenance and reporting from the Prophet 21
The job requires an ability to implement/maintain and custom report generation extracting data from the SQL database.
Essential Job Functions:
Administering and updating the software to include: organization and work breakdown, financial information, workflows, workforce planning and integration with other software, including APIs and data feeds. Contributing to the definition and then maintaining the system organization, user information, groups, logins and more. Work with all departments to maintain the default settings for each field attribute and user access. Responsible for the ongoing administration of all of the system modules including the Service Work Order user support of the Prophet 21 ? Commerce Center application including user of new and outstanding support issues with application vendor and providing timely status of best practices, training staff and incorporating changes as needed into work flow processes for more and development of all policies and procedures regarding the usage of Prophet 21 ? Commerce Center to insure optimal with management to create and deploy ad hoc or standard reporting as needed via Crystal Reports and SQL of all system and manage changes to the system settings that enhance the functionality of the applicationOversee user security and accessibility to data. Provide analysis and reporting of system data to ensure validityPerform system updates as needed, verify functionality of the updates and document , programming and setting SQL triggers procedures
Qualifications - (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Candidates must be willing able to assist in level troubling shooting including maintainence of basic workplace software, Microsoft office, VOIP systems and hardware.

ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while generating quality results and maintaining integrity of the working system

Proficient in MS Office suite of products
Proficient in Crystal Reports Version 11 or later.
Ability to successfully associates in all departments regarding the Prophet 21 ? Commerce Center applicationWorking accounting knowledge and understanding of GAAPProven history of finding opportunities for and implementing procedural improvements
Preferred Experience: Experience with Prophet 21 ? Commerce Center, Version 12 or later.

Experience in a distribution environment is a plus
Programming experience in html5 & C# is a plus
