The American Center for Mobility is a non-profit organization looking for a talented, nimble and experienced director of finance. The organization, based at Willow Run in Ypsilanti, MI, is focused on future mobility, including connected and automated vehicle technology.
Responsibilities include management of general financial, contracts, and accounting functions including, without limitation:
financial strategy, including partnering negotiations
contract creation, management and administration
vendor management and payment, including professional services
budget and budget monitoring
financial statements and reports
bank account and monthly bank reconciliations
obtaining and reconciling corporate credit cards
administration of expense reimbursement
Salary and payroll, benefits and human resources administration and support
Employment policy support and communication
Recruitment support
General record keeping
Other duties as assigned or dictated by this rapidly-changing start-up organization
Requirements
10 or more years proven financial and contract management experience, preferably in the industry
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of Peoplesoft, office management systems and procedures
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing work activities and requirements
Proficiency in MS Office (or comparable Apple program) and Gmail
This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer, with direct and frequent interaction with the CEO, CTO, CIO, and Board of Directors.
