Full Charge Bookkeeper Job Opening in Washington, District of columbia - The IAM National Pension Fund is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our Accounting Team in our office in Washington, DC office.
The responsibilities include
Preparation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
Preparation of monthly tax forms and reports
Accounts payable - review invoices, prepare, generate and log transfer checks, prepare deposits, generate reports
Assist with payroll, benefit accruals, and flexible Spending accounts
Assist in the resolution of invoice discrepancies
Prepare contribution deposits for Benefit Funds Office
Process returned pension checks and repayments
Assist with preparation and gathering information for annual audits
Our Ideal Candidate
Must have a minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience
Is confident reconciling accounts, preparing monthly journal entries and monthly reports
Has a meticulous attention to detail
Has the ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
Holds an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance preferred but in lieu of a degree, candidate must have 24 hours of credit in accounting classes
