Job Description

The talented individual chosen for this elite role will contribute to Delaget?s success. This will be accomplished by providing excellent customer service. He/she will compile payroll data and generate paychecks for assigned Delaget?s clients.

The Payroll Processor will be a key member of the payroll team and will work closely with other departments internally, such as accounts payable and cash management. This is to ensure paychecks include all deductions and are accurate in terms of pay wage and hours worked.

Education: Associates Degree or Equivalent

Experience: 2+ year's experience

Supervisor: Payroll Lead

Department : Payroll

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service to all callers. Speak with clients on regular basis to assist with payroll related questions and to communicate errors on I-9?s, W-4s, etc.

Train clients with regard to compliance issues to minimize exposure to risk.

Records changes to exemptions, insurance, loan payments, etc. and updates master payroll records. Prorates expenses to be debited or credited by department and client for cost accounting records.

Records employee changes within department or company.

Compile payroll data to include hours worked, sales or piecework, taxes, insurance, union dues, etc. to be withheld. He/she will include employee identification number from time sheets and records.

Monitor payrolls to be submitted for processing.

Creates and out of cycle check requests from clients.

After posting payrolls, he/she will make labels, print and seal checks and send out payrolls so they are received on time.

The talented professional selected for this position will serve in a critical role strongly tied to achieving customer retention.

Qualifications

Must possess GWC and be self-motivated and self-managed, able to make decisions without direction

Ability to work with accuracy and meet deadlines

Able to manage time and time commitments

Ability to manage priorities and workflow; highly organized

Proficient computer skills ?Optimum Payroll software

Advanced Excel skills

Very high attention to detail, organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvement

Knowledge of payroll functions and how they interface with accounting and benefits

Team Player

Excellent written and oral communication skills
