Medical Call Center Receptiontist Job Opening in Jacksonville, Florida - Position Available: Medical Call Center Specialist
Seeking a dynamic, energetic and knowledgeable medical call center specialist to join our fast-paced cardiology practice. Must have the ability to handle multiple priorities, be detail oriented, communicate well, and work well on a team. Professional appearance and positive personality are a must.
Responsibilities:
Answers, screens and directs incoming telephone calls.
Responds to basic inquires and triage other inquires to appropriate medical personnel.
Schedules and confirms initial and follow-up medical appointments, registers patients, coordinates diagnostic services and performs insurance verification.
Contacts and distributes messages to medical personnel using a variety of electronic methods including text and email systems.
Collect and record payments utilizing automated systems.
Minimum :
2 years of experience working in a call center and/or in a healthcare customer service is required.
Knowledge of HIPPA compliance and various health insurance types preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of high-level computer literacy with practice management scheduling systems preferred.
