Currently we have a client that is in need of an experienced Remote Outpatient Coder (Facility experience) on a Direct Hire - Full Time Basis. The position offers attractive compensation and benefits package.

Job Description:
The Remote Outpatient Coder under direct supervision is responsible for accurate coding of coding services (diagnoses, conditions and procedures) from medical record documentation for facility services. Working from the appropriate documentation in the medical record, assigns codes and modifiers.
Requirements:
CCA, RHIT or RHIA, CCS preferred, CIRCC Required
3-5 Years? coding experience
Ability to work Remote and with minimal supervision
Direct Hire - Full Time Position
Must be ICD-10 trained
Experience with all Facility Outpatient Coding and Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology Coding Experience
Availability to work remotely from 8.00am - 4.00pm Monday - Friday
Please make note that candidates with AHIMA Credentials AND CIRCC will only be considered for this position. Candidates with any other AAPC Credentials such as CPC, CPC-A, etc. will not be considered for this role.
Responsibilities:
The Coder performs accurate and timely review, coding, and abstracting of accounts utilizing ICD-10-CM, and CPT code sets.
The Coder performs coding activities in a manner that meets productivity and quality standards as established by the coding leadership.
The Coder maintains a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, disease processes, and coding guidelines through participation in continuing education programs.
The Coder maintains a thorough understanding of the intricacies of the various patient types cared for (Same Day Surgeries, Observation, Emergency Department, Ancillary, Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology as examples) so work assignment adjustments can be made with little workflow disruption and coding coverage can be appropriately provided.
