Gallery Sales Associate Job Opening in Newport, Rhode island - Blink Gallery is seeking a part-time sales person to work at our lower Thames St. location. Retail and sales experience required (preferably in a high-end environment) along with exceptional communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of art and ability to consult on interior decorating is essential.
We're looking for someone who is responsible and reliable. Also being gregarious and talkative is super important. Weekend availability is a must, including evenings, with some weekday and week night hours as needed.
Gallery employees are responsible for the customer experience, which requires attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Core duties outside of retail sales may include oversight of the point of sales system, inventory management, and current & prospective customer data management. Other duties will involve light cleaning, photo assembly, and miscellaneous computer work tailored to your skill set.
Knowledge of Newport's attractions, restaurants and events is very helpful.
For the right person, this is a fun job in a cool location. We're not looking to micro-manage anyone, just have you show up on time, be willing to learn and stay engaged in the business.
