Solution (Infrastructure) Architect 85k - 95k Job Opening in las vegas, Nevada - Solution (Infrastructure) Architect 85k - 95k Our customer within the gaming and hospitality industry in Las Vegas, NV is hiring a Global Solutions Architect. Overview: The primary responsibility of the Solution Architect is to architect and design global solutions to meet business and technology requirements across all properties. They will be familiar with multiple approaches to problem-solving. They will be responsible for architecting global solutions and providing best practice technology standards within the vertical. All duties are to be performed in accordance with the departmental and the company policies, practices, and procedures. The RIGHT candidate for this position must be proficient with the following infrastructure domains: - AD Experience (i.e. domain migrations, federation, handing of 3rd parties & solution with company network) - Networking (i.e. Wi-Fi, Wireless, Ethernet, etc.) - Hardware (i.e. SCSI vs. other technologies) - Backup solutions (i.e. real-time vs. batch) - Hardware (i.e. PC vs. Server) - Experience and/or exposure with Virtualization, Storage technologies such EMC, VMware, etc. - DB Platform(s) & Clustering experiences - Server Migrations experience (i.e. migrating from Windows 2005 to 2008) - Handling and planning of system maintenance windows - Experience and exposure with EA standards, governance and tools such as Troux - The candidates willingness to let go of the execution part of a project (i.e. they will be focused on the strategy and planning parts) SPECIFIC POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of five (5) years experience in architecting technology solutions within the Hospitality or Gaming industry. Have a BS in computer Science or related field. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Visio. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Proven experience in working in an organized, methodical, and detailed oriented environment required. - Demonstrated track record of architecting and delivering high quality solutions on a global scale. - Experience conducting technical review meetings and follow-ups within the technology organization for completion of functional and technical specifications for large scale business application needs (i.e. high volume, complexity, and/or availability) - Ability to research and learn new technologies quickly and adhere to new standards producing documentation on these new technologies. - Proven problem solving, analytical and fact-finding skills. - Use of good customer relationship techniques and technology partnering team approaches. - Ability to consult with other analysts, other IT groups, vendors and management to develop a thorough understanding the varied and complex technology and business solutions. - Ability to effectively handle multiple projects/tasks - Ability to work in a fast paced, multiple project environment on an independent basis with minimal supervision las vegas nv nevada
