Project Controls Analyst Job Opening in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania - Project Controls Analyst
OPPORTUNITY:
Stevens Engineers & Constructors seeks a highly motivated individual to become a main point of contact for contract and financial coordination with the Project Team, Owners, and Subcontractors. This individual will be responsible for all project financial transactions including job cost transactions, preparation of monthly payment requests, coordination of all subcontract change orders, payments, schedule evaluation, forecasting, and waivers/affidavits. The ideal candidate will be results driven, have a client focus approach and will work well independently and as part of the project team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Review owner contracts to ensure all terms and requirements are being met
Organize, enter and maintain budget information in project accounting system
Review and enter purchase order and subcontract agreements; manage subcontractor payment distributions
Develop and/or track detailed procurement and construction resource loaded schedules in Primavera P6; support management and supervision through preparation, updating and maintenance of forecasts and identification of schedule and performance variances utilizing earned value methodology
Analyze job cost and identify problems; compile and issue project performance reports; bring critical issues to the immediate attention of appropriate management personnel
Actively lead the billing process including regular cash flow maintenance; help to identify over/under billing situations
Compile and maintain change order documentation; assist in presentation to customer
Review and track waivers, affidavits, and collections, maintain bond information request forms
Utilize analytical systems, methods and tools to monitor the project and complete weekly and monthly progress reports to management and/or customer as needed
Participate in project review meetings; assist in job closeout process
Provide job and corporate audit assistance
Other duties as may be assigned
SUCCESS FACTORS:
Proficient with MS Office and Outlook; proven Excel skills
Construction Software experience highly desired; Viewpoint Construction Software a plus
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in fast pace environment
Familiarity and proficiency with P6 scheduling software and knowledge of earned value techniques a plus
Ability to think analytically; demonstrate effective time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong Interpersonal and problem solving skills
BS in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent construction experience preferred
2+ years of construction project controls experience preferred
Travel to project sites, potential extended stay project assignment and overtime may be required
