Accounting Specialist Job Opening in Sebastian, Florida - GEI Works is looking for an Accounting Specialist.
Salary dependent on experience / skills / ability.
We have a very busy and dynamic work environment involving production and resale activities serving a global market.
The primary duties and skillsets required of the accounting specialist are as follows;
Full charge transactional processing including:
Accounts Payable?Process, record, and prepare payments for Accounts Payable invoices. Track and resolve vendor discrepancies. Work with management on issues effecting Accounts Payable including reminders, logging issues, and communicating important issues.
Accounts Receivable?Process, record, and prepare invoices for customers. Process customer payments. Maintain Accounts Receivable aging and pursue past due accounts. Track and resolve customer payment discrepancies. Maintain customer master files.
Payroll/Labor ? Assist and/or process, record, and prepare payroll including reporting, data entry, journal entries, PTO, funding, and recording in QuickBooks.
Work with banks on incoming bank transfers and any other banking concerns that arise.
Oversee QB transactions for accuracy?address errors/omissions/ concerns with Order Entry or appropriate sales person as the case dictates.
Insurance - Working with vendors for services provided
Maintain Sales and Use tax data for monthly processing by Accounting Manager.
Account Reconciliations as assigned, which may include merchant account, bank accounts, merchant accounts, general ledger accounts, and/or credit card accounts.
Assist CEO and Accounting Manager in preparing cash flow reports, and special projects as required.
Other tasks and duties as they periodically arise
REQUIREMENTS:
The position REQUIRES experience with accounting and/or ERP software as well as insight into transactional dependencies, preferably QuickBooks Enterprise with advanced inventory. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is REQUIRED with focus on Microsoft Excel.

Economics and Accounting ? Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
Clerical ? Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
