Accountant Job Opening in Stuart, Florida - Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Cash Receipts List each day?s receipts in the monthly daily and monthly cash receipt workbooks & batches for the general ledger cash receipts up on unpaid customer invoices with dept. managers to ensure collection & process write-offs.
Post billing payments to the A/R subsidiary ledger (SERVTracker).
Create the weekly bank deposit(s).
Receive the day?s receipts (cash, checks & credit cards) from the mail, credit card web sites & COAMC staff.
BillingImport units from client files and other SERVTracker batches to prepare claims and invoices to journal entries to record the month?s income.
Follow up on unpaid claims.
Mail and e-file claims & invoices.
Verify total monthly units are correct and that they agree with source documents.
Use source documents to add units of service into SERVTracker.
Accounts PayableObtain purchase orders and match to PO?s to support the in-home contractor units entered into SERVTracker and billed to the invoices into the A/P monthly statements to customers/clients and send A/R aging reports to dept. managers.
Print checks, mail payments and file A/P documents.
Review account distribution and other critical data on PO?s to ensure correct data is entered.
Obtain support for all transactions on credit card statements.
Open mail and input invoices into the A/P module.
Create documentation to support adjusting journal entries and create the entries for these transactions:
Payroll accrual
Depreciation expense
Bank reconciliation
Prepaid expense amortization
Deferred revenue amortization
Input transactions into the fixed asset system and create the journal entries to record depreciation expense.
Job Specifications:

Bachelor?s degree in Accounting preferred.
Technical Skills:
Ability to comprehend the technical policies, procedures, and standards related to department.
Knowledge of Accounting and Excel software programs.
Ability to create journal entries and analyze general ledger accounts.
